MAUDE ÄRNSTRÖM

It's me who is Maude. A girl from Östersund, a city in the northern parts of Sweden. With a lot of hard work and some luck I had the good fortune to start my wonderful hotel. The opportunity to work with what you love most is a rare luxury.

My love of hotels started during my 6 years in Manhattan, New York. I began, not as glamorous as one might think, as a gogo dancer at Brodway but later I had the chance to work in the hospitality industri and then got a taste for it. Once back in Sweden again I studied at the Hotel and Restaurant School in Stockholm.

The first hotel I started was the Kristineberg Hotel which I operated for 26 years, now it's sold. I started Maude's Hotel Enskede in year 2000, Maude's Hotel Solna Business Park in 2004 and the new addition Hotel By Maude in 2013.

One of my passions is interior design and the interior décor at the hotels are all my own ideas. When i decided the interior of the hotels I wanted to surprise everyone that walks through the door. I want to believe that I have managed to do so. Compliments never stop on how beautiful interior we have at both hotels and how cool and cozy it is at the same time.

Without my staff the atmosphere at the hotels has not been as good as it is. Their service minded thinking goes beyond everything else, always smiling and helpful nothing is too difficult or too complicated. Many of our guests can attest to service with us is outstanding.
